04-25-04  That's how the story goes...

Wow, it's been a long time since any news has been updated on this site.  Mostly because there hasn't been anything to report.  We're still alive as far as breathing and living our normal lives, but we haven't seen any musical activity as a collective since September.  We're hoping to at least get together in the coming weeks and discuss what our plans as as far as playing out and rehearsing for the future is concerned.

Stud shows fell through, which sucks because Mikey and I were looking forward to playing out some new material that I had written and some of the Joes songs as well as some covers and Stud standards.  Who knows what'll happen as far as any Stud sightings are concerned.  As for me, I've been working very quietly on a solo effort of some cover material and some original material.  The working title of this effort is called How To Crash Your Car While Driving Really Fast.  It's just basically a project of home demos compiled right now.  I don't know if it'll go past that stage.  Meaning that i don't know if I'm going to book shows and try to peddle this mediocre sound recording.  I don't know how many songs will even end up on the thing.  Right now it sits at about 7.  I've been recording the songs since late February.  It's taken awhile for me to get any work done on it at all because of work schedule and things that I have basically no control over.

That basically sums up what I'm doing and where the Joes stand as of right now.  Hopefully in the coming weeks I'll have more to report because it's kind of nice to type out an update, especially after a long absence from doing so.  And as far as any solo things are concerned the news will be posted on my personal site, which I'm sure hasn't been updated in over a year, so pop on over there using this lovely link http://ryanpanos.tripod.com to hear a couple of the songs that I've been working on since February.  That about sums up everything, but hopefully there'll be more news down the pike.

01-16-04  Blast off, up to the stars we go...

Yo peeps, back with the first update of the new year.  Not a whole lot going on in The Joes camp.  We're sitting back and re-evaluating things, and talking about going back into the studio this summer to lay down some tracks.  We're basically starting over from square one to do things right, instead of at a pace faster than what we should've been doing things at.  So more on that as details progress.

In other news, there are talks of some Stud Fieldmouse shows.  Still waiting on word from Mikey Joe about when he's available to play out and what not.   But until then I've been biding my time writing songs as usual, and there is a new demo that is posted in the MP3 section of the site called "Far From Yesterday".  So check it out.  I hope everyone enjoys it.  It's not like a different sound or anything, it's pretty much the standard acoustic demo, but check it out and drop us a line talking about how much you love it, or how much you hate it.  Until another time...

Rock it,
THE JOES

12-10-03  Don't Call It A Comeback...

Ryan Joe here, letting you all know what's been going on the past month since we last updated.   Well I spoke with good ole Nate Joe earlier and his departure has not been labeled as permanent which is music to my ears.  We are in fact on a break until further notice which is much deserving.  Hopefully we'll see some Joes action around spring time.

The Christmas season is very near and with that in mind, since there probably won't be an update until after the new year, we'd just like to send out a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone.   2003 was a very good year for The Joes, we accomplished a lot of things and got the ball moving a lot.  We've come quite a ways since 2002, and we appreciate anyone that's ever seen us play and the people that appreciate us as well.  As a token of our appreciation to you, the Six Hours To Brazil EP is available in the mp3 section for download, so download the songs and burn 'em.  Show 'em to your friends and love on 'em.   And we'll see you in 2004!!!!

Beware of a Stud Fieldmouse return....

Rock it,
THE JOES
